Auckland based artist Brenda Clews will have her third solo show with us and we are thrilled to invite you to join us for the opening.
Quiet Conversations with the Land is a new body of work inspired by Brenda's travels over the past twelve months through the Coromandel, Waikato, the Mackenzie High Country, and Tongariro. Each of these places left a distinct impression, a kind of conversation, that she carried back with her into the studio. For Brenda these paintings are not simply depictions of place, but meditations-reflections on belonging, on the passage of time, and on the deep connection she feels with the landscapes that continue to shape her life and practice.
