"This painting is a comment on the rough seas of life, being a lighthouse for the people you love and the storm that you can sometimes find yourself at the center of whilst always trying to remain strong and calm. The  island behind the tower of stability depicts the cornerstones of family life - the books represent education, the umbrella represents shelter, and the floor plan represents that physical place you call home and of course the inevitable chaos that sometimes ensues is represented by the monkey.
